Volume 1 -- Errata Sheet
Page 18:The first sentence of the second paragraph is incorrect and should be deleted.
Page 59:The sediment samples discussed in the Sediment section and listed in Table 15 werelikely obtained from nearby springs and therefore should be considered off-site samples ratherthan on-site samples.
Page 71:The second sentence in the Off-Site Ambient Air section refers to Conard's Branch, which is not associated with Lemon Lane. The reference to Conard"s Branch should be deleted.
Page 73:References to clay cap in the Interim Removal and Remedial Measures and CurrentStatus sections are incorrect. A soil cover was used at Neal's Dump.
Page 76:The comparison value in Table 22 should read 0.01 parts per million (ppm).
Page 105:The sentence at the top of the page reads, "Ambient air is a present and futurecompleted exposure pathway for nearby residents as long as there is PCBs present in the siteassociated springs." ATSDR believes that the levels of PCBs now present in the stream (waterand sediments) or likely to be present in the future will result in only minimal ambient air levels(nondetectable or barely detectable concentrations under routine sampling protocols). Thus,ATSDR does not consider ambient air to be a present and future completed exposure pathwayunder any feasible exposure scenario. The sentence should be deleted.
Page 105:Change 38 ppm to 68 ppm at the bottom of page.
Page 107:The completed exposure pathway for ambient air in Table 39 was likely only in the past.
Page 108:The value shown in the second sentence under the Off-Site Surface Water/Sedimentsection should read 7.7 ppm.
Page 125:Under the Off-site Sewage Sludge section, the sludge came from the Winston-ThomasFacility, not from Westinghouse.
Page 129:Under the Off-site Surface Water section, the 0.19 ppm is a sediment level, not a waterconcentration. The phrase "in sediments" should be added to the end of the fourth sentence.
Page 142:Delete the reference to antibiotics in the first paragraph of page 143. Not all antibioticsmay pose an increased risk. It has been suggested that the antibiotic novobiocin might possiblypose an increased risk in individuals exposed to PCBs. See "Toxicological Profile forPolychlorinated Biphenyls, Draft for Public Comment (Update), February 20, 1996."
Page 147:The 3 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3) level cited in the last paragraph is not alowest-observed-adverse-effect-level (LOAEL).
Page 169:Change "MW" (monitoring well) to "W" (private well) in Anderson Road LandfillRecommendation 1.
Pages 164 - 171:The Conclusions and Recommendations sections are superseded by Volume III.
