The primary contaminants found at the PPI site are volatile organic compounds, including:

• Trichloroethylene (TCE)
• Tetrachloroethylene (PCE)
• Toluene
• Cadmium

These contaminants have been detected in discharges from the PPI factory into the Vivi River and into on-site soil. These contaminants also have been found in sediment and water samples, indicating an ongoing release.
