About Our Courses
Specialized training is critical for developing consistency in health calls, establishing credibility identifying harmful exposures and recommending appropriate exposure mitigation actions for regulatory agencies and industry. ATSDR Environmental Public Health Training (EPHT) Program trains public health professionals and partners in building workforce capacity on how to conduct public health assessment (PHA) activities (e.g., exposure assessment, health evaluation, media inquiries, community involvement, and health risk communication). ATSDR training program case studies are situations loosely-based on real site specific cases. Trainees learn first hand those skills necessary to successfully identify pathways of exposure and provide correct information. The EPHT includes both in-class and distance learning courses. This approach allows flexibility to demanding work schedules.
