Estimating an Ingestion Dose for Evaluating Noncancer Health Effects
A dose for ingesting a chemical is estimated using the following formula. The same formula is used regardless of whether the chemical was ingested in water, soil, or food.
The exposure factor is an estimate of the actual time that a person comes into contact with a chemical.
