Program Description:
The Public Health Assessment Training (PHAT) online modules are designed to increase knowledge and change competency of environmental health practices and strategies. The content of the modules is derived from the method used by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), which is known as the public health assessment (PHA), to evaluate exposure to hazardous substances.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of the session, the participant should be able to:

  1. Define what sampling data are appropriate.
  2. Identify factors that affect data quality.
  3. Select sampling data appropriate for use in the public health assessment (PHA).
  4. Define what a data gap is.
  5. Determine if the sampling data for the Gala Lumber Company (GLC) site are appropriate.
